i was disappointed when the ability to mow down grass using cut was removed from gen 4, because i used it a lot to avoid having to partake in random encounters while also saving money from not using Repel.

then i realized if you cut down the grass in the pal park you'd be forced into starting over if there was a poke you hadn't encountered yet in the grassy areas, which is probably why they took it out.
